About the Company

Aristocraft Boats have been around
from 1946 to the present.

Atlanta Boat Works began manufacturing AristoCraft boats in 1946 following Claude Turner’s return from service during World War II. Production began with five employees at a downtown Atlanta location.

Today, the 1956 model Torpedo is being re-made using the same jigs as in the 1950’s. You can explore these options of the newer boats in the new boat section of the web site.

A complete AristoCraft collection is housed in a museum-type setting, displaying one of every model boat produced, including some rare, one of a kind, boats. All production records, brochures, literature, and manufacturer’s photographs are available for research. Original AristoCraft promotional memorabilia is featured as well.

About the Boats

New remanufactured boats are crafted by hand just like their predecessors of the 1950’s. Following the original design, the same screws, glues, jigs, machinery, and equipment to include band saws, planers, and polishers are used. Additionally, boats incorporate Z-Spar Varnish, and have Coast Guard regulated flotation, steering, and lighting.

Restorations

Aristocraft boats loves bringing in all makes and models of classic boats for restoration work. The restoration of each individual boat varies greatly from one to the other, and we realize each project will be unique. We love working with the customer to make sure the restoration process is simple, clear, and stress free for the customer.

1955 Avalon – My parents had a 1955 or 1956 Avalon…their first boat. I only have this picture of it. We think it was taken in Montana. My mother died in 1983 and my dad died just this winter. I would love to find one like it.

1963 Funliner – My late Father bought her new. There’s alot of memories in that old boat. I still remember my Dad skiing behind her on the intracoastal waterway with Mom driving. Taking her out spot fishing in the fall. After 47 years, I still enjoy using her.
